Transportation in Chinese

Introduction

Zhejiang Normal University was founded in 1956, which is a multi-disciplinary provincial key university. In 2015, it was selected in the first batch of key construction colleges and universities in Zhejiang Province. The transportation major in Zhejiang Normal University is one of the key construction characteristic specialties of Zhejiang province. At the beginning of the school, it has been around the national traffic development strategy. In the fields of rail transit, urban and highway transportation, it adheres to the school philosophy of optimizing the model, consolidating the foundation, refining the process, international view and cultivates high-quality engineering and technical personnel in the field of transportation.

For the development needs of the modern transportation industry, the aim is to cultivate high-quality engineering and technical personnel in the field of transportation who observe the law, have high professional ethics, generous professional foundation, good comprehensive quality, innovative spirit, collaboration ability, practical ability and international vision. After graduation, students have the knowledge of transportation science and engineering, and have the ability to develop professional knowledge and enhance the comprehensive quality of lifelong learning ability. They have the ability to do scientific research, technology development, facilities and equipment maintenance, production and management and teaching and other aspects of the work in the field of rail transit operation and management, transportation planning and design, high-speed trains and rail vehicles use and management.


Professional Institutions

The transportation major has three master's degree programs: Intelligent Transportation Technology, which is academic master's degree, traffic management direction , which is master's degree in public management , and discipline education direction, which is professional master's degree. The transportation industry has two school-level research institutions: rail transit research center and road and traffic engineering research center. The transportation industry set up the only African Institute of Transportation in Zhejiang province in 2011. A number of achievements will fill the gaps in the field of African transport research and undertake more than 10 training sessions in African countries. In the province of the same profession, we are the first to start the Washington International Engineering Education Certification work, and we started the province's only international transport professional to achieve complete English teaching, which has cultivated 10 international students for Kenya, Cameroon, Congo and other countries.


Summary of professional duties

The professional force is strong, with a total teaching staff of 29. Among them, there are 20 teachers with high-grade professional titles, 10 graduate tutors, 18 teachers with doctoral degree, 12 teachers with experience of studying abroad in famous university and 23 teachers with Double teacher Double competence. Professional teachers have strong engineering practice ability. More than 80 percent of professional teachers undertake research projects cooperating with enterprises and over 70 percent of professional teachers have engineering practice background. In the past three years, professional teachers have published over 200 academic papers, undertaken more than 20 research projects in the state, provincial and departmental level, been responsible for more than 20 key planning textbooks of the industry and published more than 10 books in both English and Chinese.


Achievements of Cultivating Students

In this profession, there are currently 335 full-time students, 6 overseas students, and students have participated in more than 200 projects in the past five years, such as the national student innovation and entrepreneurship program, Zhejiang new-planted talent project and university-level research projects. They won more than 30 provincial awards in the national transportation science and technology competition, the college student challenge cup competition, and published more than 100 papers. The employment rate for this major has remained above 98% and the launch rate of graduate students maintains at over 20% per year. So far, this profession has trained a large number of outstanding graduates for local rail transit, urban and road transportation and large logistics companies. The good quality of talent cultivation and employment promotion are widely publicized by the Chinese education, Zhejiang daily, Qianjiang evening news, phoenix net, CCTV network, Zhejiang online, etc. The transportation major of Zhejiang Normal University has formed an engineering major in the field of rail transportation with outstanding social repercussions, obvious advantages and distinctive features and it is playing a key role in cultivating talents in the field of transportation of the country.

Traffic engineering, traffic planning, traffic organization and management, transportation terminals, urban rail transit operation organization, operation and management of rail transit, station signal control system, traffic survey and design, logistics center planning and design, road engineering, and traffic design.

Entry Requirements:

1. Foreign nationals, over 18 years old.

2. In good health condition, in accordance with the Health Standard for International Students stipulated by the Ministry of Education, China.

3. Good moral character and discipline towards the laws and regulations of the Chinese government.

4. Good English or Chinese language proficiency.

5. Holding high school diploma for Bachelor programs.
