 When asked to define himself using only one word, without much hesitation our interviewee’s answer was sound and strong: “Courageous”. And so that has been the core theme and the defining summary of his journey so far. Because courage is what is needed to accomplish greatness and something that has never be done before. Courage is what is needed to be a pioneer and show others that something deemed impossible can be possible, courage is what is needed to pursue one’s passion despite the odds.

Pacifique Twizere, the CEO of Neza LabTechnology Ltd.,  probably isn’t a novelty to you. You’ve most likely seen him or heard about him, through ZJNU or somewhere else. In recent years he has become a reference point for many foreign students in our university, whether by his outstanding achievements, by the services his company provides, or by just being an exemplary figure that many look up to, he can certainly be considered a household name.

梦想启航

Where it all started

在中学期间，Pacifique 开始对软件产生兴趣，并对能够将一个想法变为现实感到好奇和兴奋。正是在这种通过技术解决问题的热情的驱使下，他看到学校在下课时候吹哨的困难，他通过创建一种自动化吹哨的系统来帮助解决问题，这标志着他迈出了进入软件工程世界的第一步。

Early in his life, during secondary school, Pacifique started developing an interest in software and felt intrigued and excited by the concept of being able to think of an idea and making it a reality. It was driven by this passion for solving problems through technology, that seeing the difficulty in his school with the whistleblowing during breaks, he helped solve the problem by creating a way to automatize the whistle system, marking his first step into the world of software engineering.

（It was during secondary school back in his home country that Pacifique started developing an interest in Software Engineering, and has since been following on this path.）

2019年，在从朋友那里得知浙江师范大学的消息后，被大量的外国学生、大学提供的技术课程和设施等特点所吸引，Pacifique 决定攻读软件工程硕士学位。在浙江师范大学期间，他感受到了多元文化的欢迎，并回忆起他在这里的经历是一次“伟大的冒险和开阔的思维”。适应对他来说非常容易和顺利，尤其是现在他能够专注于他从小就热爱的专业。

In 2019 after hearing about ZJNU through friends, and being attracted by qualities such as the big number of foreign students, and the technology courses and facilities the university offers, Pacifique felt inspired to enroll for a master’s degree as a Software Engineering student. During his stay in ZJNU, he felt welcomed by the diverse community of people and recalls his time here as a “great adventure and mind-opening” experience. Adapting was very easy and smooth for him, especially now that he was able to solely focus on a major which has been his passion since childhood.

It's all about helping people

Pacifique 作为企业家的旅程始于帮助有需要的人，后来促使他创建了自己的公司 NezaLab。每当同学们的电脑出现问题时，他们都会联系他，他总是试图找到解决这些问题的方法。看到许多外国人不得不与家乡的家人交流的需要，并将其与他对技术的热爱相结合，Pacifique 决定想出一些可以帮助解决这些障碍的东西。他作为企业家的旅程始于帮助有需要的人，这一直是他工作的核心方面和动力。

Pacifique's journey as an entrepreneur started with the urge to help those in need, which later on lead him to create his own company, NezaLab. Whenever fellow students would have a problem with their computers, they would reach out to him, and he would always try to find solutions to these problems. Seeing the need that many foreigners had to communicate with families back home, and aligning that with his love for technology Pacifique decided to come up with something that could help tackle these barriers. His journey as an entrepreneur started with the urge to help those in need, and this has been the core aspect and motivation for his work.

You can't succeed on your own

Pacifique 在浙江师范大学期间学到的重要一课是人与团队合作的价值。 Pacifique 在浙江师范大学期间获得的重要经验之一就是人的价值。 回忆起他独自工作的时光，现在他与其他同事一起组建了自己的公司，Pacifique 强调了拥有团队支持系统的相关性，因为可以分担责任并且结果更令人满意。 “试着尊重每个人，因为你不能独自成功，你需要做的每一件事都需要人。”

Reminiscing over his time while working alone, and now that he has formed his company along with other colleagues, Pacifique highlighted the relevance of having the support system of a team, as responsibilities can be shared and results are much more satisfactory. “Try to treat everyone with respect, because you can’t succeed alone, you need people in everything you will be doing.”

对未来的愿景

An innovative vision for the future

为了他的计划和梦想，Pacifique 以他的祖国非洲为主要目标。他渴望有朝一日能够建立一个有利于并满足他周围人需求的电子商务生态系统，通过创新帮助有需要的人，让我们想起在他的旅程中，他仍是那个对未来充满创造性和创新性的中学男孩。

For his plans and dreams, Pacifique has his motherland, Africa, as his main objective. He aspires to one day building an e-commerce ecosystem that will favor and meet the needs of people around him, once again, making his driving force and motivation the urge to help those in need by way of innovation, taking us back to the beginning of his journey, as a young boy in the secondary school with a creative and innovative vision for the future.
