To attract more international students to study in universities in Jinhua, expand the city's international student enrollment, improve the academic level of incoming students, enhance their understanding and friendship with Jinhua, and encourage them to master the Chinese language and Chinese culture, the Jinhua Municipal Government Scholarship for International Students (hereinafter referred to as“the Scholarship”) has been established. The Scholarship supports international students who study in Jinhua for one semester or longer.
1. Scholarship Categories and Eligibility Criteria
Type B: RMB 10,000 per academic year
International students recommended by Jinhua's sister cities (“Friendship City Students”) and enrolled in universities in Jinhua are eligible for the Scholarship. Those studying for one academic year or longer will receive the Type A Scholarship. Those studying for less than one academic year will receive the Type B Scholarship. Scholarship recipients must participate in an annual review to determine their eligibility for renewal in the following year.

3. Eligibility Requirements
(1) Non-Chinese citizen holding a valid ordinary passport, in accordance with the provisions of Document No. 12 [2020] issued by the Ministry of Education;
(2) Generally aged 18 years or above;
(3) In good physical and mental health, friendly toward China, with no history of drug abuse and no criminal record;
(4) Proficient in Chinese or English;
(5) Applicants for undergraduate programs must hold a high school diploma and the transcript of China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA); applicants for master's programs must hold a bachelor's degree; applicants for doctoral programs must hold a master's degree.
4. Application Procedures
(1) Apply online through the Zhejiang Normal University International Student Admissions Portal: http://admission.zjnu.edu.cn.
(2) The university will organize expert reviewers to evaluate the applications and admit qualified candidates based on merit.
(3) Pre-admitted students are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of RMB 400 (or USD 70).
(4) ZJNU will prepare the JW202 Form and Admission Notice, which students may download from the official website.

(3) Passport visa page (required for applicants currently in China)
(4) Notarized highest degree certificate or pre-graduation certificate

(6) Chinese Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) transcript (required for undergraduate applicants)
(7) Foreigner Physical Examination Form (valid within 6 months)
(8) Non-criminal record certificate (valid within 6 months)
(9) No drug addiction statement
(10) Bank statement
(11) Language proficiency certificates (applicants applying for Chinese-taught programs need to provide HSK certificates, and applicants from non-native English-speaking countries applying for English-taught programs need to provide IELTS or TOEFL certificates)
(12) Parents' nationality certificates
(13) Study plan
(14) Two recommendation letters (required for postgraduate applicants)
(15) Supervisor Acceptance Letter (required for doctoral applicants)
(16) Performance certificate (required for applicants already studying in China)

6. Important Notes
(1) Applications with missing documents or falsified information will not be accepted.
(2) Scholarship recipients unable to register as scheduled must submit a written explanation at least 15 days before the registration date. Those who fail to register on time without proper notice will forfeit their scholarship eligibility and will not be eligible to reapply.
(3)Scholarship eligibility will be cancelled for students who fail the physical examination or document verification upon enrollment.
