I. Overview
In the summer of 1986, with the support of the State Education Commission and the Provincial Education Commission, Sir Run Run Shaw, a renowned patriotic figure from Hong Kong, donated HKD 10 million. The Provincial People's Government provided matching funds of RMB 2.5 million for the construction of the Yifu Library. The project broke ground in December 1987 and was completed in November 1989.
The Yifu Library is dignified and elegant in style, with a well-proportioned architectural layout. Since its completion, it has provided abundant information resources and high-quality services for the university's talent cultivation, teaching, and research, fully fulfilling its intended role.
