Mechanical Design,Manufacturing and Automation (Taught in English)

I. Educational Objectives

Oriented toward regional industrial demands, this program cultivates high-level application-oriented engineering talents. Graduates shall possess sound professional ethics, innovative mindsets and engineering literacy, and systematically master extensive fundamental theoretical knowledge of the discipline. They will be equipped with strong capabilities in engineering design, engineering practice and teamwork, and able to adapt to the globalized, information-based, green and service-oriented development trends of the machinery manufacturing industry. Graduates are competent to conduct research, design, commissioning, management, control and application of intelligent products (manufacturing equipment / production lines) related to mechanical engineering in modern enterprises, and capable of participating in international engineering projects and international competition.

II. Duration of Study

The program lasts for 4 years, with a permitted study period of 3–6 years.

Statics, Mechanics of Materials, Introduction to Mechanical Majors, Linear Algebra, Engineering Drawing, Advanced Mathematics, General Physics, Dynamics, Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics, Electrical and Electronic Technology, etc.

Theory of Machines, Machine Design, Fundamentals of Intelligent Control Engineering, Mechatronic Transmission Control, Intelligent Manufacturing Technology, Fundamentals of Engineering Materials and Forming Technology, Precision Design of Machinery, Engine Principles and Automobile Theory, Engineering Thermodynamics, PLC Control System Design, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Transmission, etc.
