Fine Arts (Taught in Chinese)

I. Educational Objectives

This program cultivates outstanding teachers with noble teaching ethics and a passion for education, profound humanistic and artistic literacy, as well as solid professional knowledge and skills in fine arts. Graduates boast remarkable capabilities in educational research, class management, holistic student cultivation and self-development. Being innovative, they are competent for fine arts teaching, research and management work in secondary schools.

II. Duration of Study

The program lasts for 4 years, with a permitted study period of 3–6 years.

III. Basic Disciplinary Courses

Introduction to Fine Arts, Foundation of Modelling, Foundation of Colour, Calligraphy and Seal Carving, Fundamentals of Perspective, Chinese Art History, Western Art History, Chinese Folk Art,  Principles of Fine Arts, Art Appreciation and Writing, Guided Reading of Classic Works on Culture and Art, etc.

IV. Core Major Courses

Foundation of Modelling, Foundation of Colour, Creativity and Expression, Research on Spatial Art Modelling, Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art, Modern and Contemporary Western Art, Theories of Chinese Painting, Artistic Human Anatomy, etc.

V. CSCA Test Subjects

Humanities Chinese, Mathematics.
