Dancing (Taught in Chinese)

I. Educational Objectives

This program cultivates backbone teachers with noble teaching ethics and a passion for education, solid professional knowledge and skills in dance. Graduates are equipped with capabilities in teaching, holistic student cultivation, class management and self-development, as well as practical competence to promote comprehensive curriculum implementation. They are competent for dance teaching in secondary schools.

II. Duration of Study

The program lasts for 4 years, with a permitted study period of 3–6 years.

III. Basic Disciplinary Courses

Introduction to Dance, Basic Ballet Training, Basic Chinese Classical Dance Training, etc.

IV. Core Major Courses

Music Theory and Solfège, Piano, Sight-Reading and Vocal Accompaniment, Elective Instrument, Chinese and Foreign Music History, Vocal Music, Modern Dance, Ethnic Minority Folk Dance, Chinese Classical Dance Body Rhythm, Han Folk Dance, Teaching Methodology of Chinese Classical Dance Body Rhythm, History of Chinese Dance and Works Appreciation, Directing Theories and Techniques, Introduction to Dance, History of Foreign Dance and Works Appreciation, Dance Pedagogy, etc.

V. CSCA Test Subjects

Humanities Chinese, Mathematics.
